Soelden has also made a name for itself as a modern centre of sport in the Tyrol. Here in the middle of it all, your hosts Daniela and Jakob Prantl show that they do things differently: the Gampe Thaya and (nat)UrHütta are the perfect place for stopping off, relaxing and experiencing an authentic piece of the Tyrol.

Daniela and Jakob Prantl are the perfect representatives of the real Oetztal: the couple are down-to-earth and unpretentious in their management of the Gampe Thaya and (nat)UrHütta, remaining very close to nature. Agriculture is also part of the Gampe – a real passion of Jakob Prantl. Many of the ingredients served here come from the local meadows or the Soelden area. The milk is collected from the cows behind the mountain hut while the sausages and beef are both home-made.

A skilled carpenter transformed the old hut alongside the Gampe Thaya into the (nat)UrHütta Alpine chalet, using plenty of skill and local materials. In winter, you can spend your holiday here and you couldn’t wish for more: after breakfast, you can set out on a day’s skiing right from your doorstep before snuggling up in-front of the fireplace in the evening and enjoying the feeling of solitude, high above the rooftops of Soelden at an altitude of 2,000 m.
