Arrival in the Ötztal
The Ötztal valley begins about 40 km west of Innsbruck in the Inn valley. The easiest way to reach the Ötztal by car is via the Inntal motorway A12 (toll sticker required). From the Ötztal exit, follow the Ötztal Str. (B186) to Sölden.
To the Gampe Thaya
The Gampe Thaya is located on the Gampealm at 2,000 m above Sölden in the middle of the skiing and hiking area of Hochsölden. The Almwirtschaft is not directly accessible by car. Follow the glacier road to the Hochsölden junction, turn right and continue towards Hochsölden. After 2 hairpin bends you will find a board fence on the left and a car park where you can park your car free of charge (start 30-minute hike).
Arrival by plane
If you land at Innsbruck airport, take the train to Ötztal station and from there take the bus (8 times daily) to Sölden.
